In fulfilment of the New Direction blueprint, Governor Yahaya Bello has approved the allocation of a vast land for the proposed Industrial Park in Kogi State. The park, covering a landmass of over 200 hectares is sited along Ganaja-Ajaokuta Road and will be first of its kind in Kogi State once completed.

The establishment of the Industrial layout was conceived and initiated by the Special Adviser to the Governor Yahaya Bello on Job Creation, SMEs Development, Hon. Prince Abdulkareem Onyekehi Suleiman whose penchant for job opportunities for the teeming unemployed Kogi youths informed his invitation of ChinaRoads Construction, Designs and Consultancy Company (CCDCC), a Chinese investment firm to take advantage of the vast investment opportunities in Kogi State under the new administration.

The Industrial layout comprises of Wood Processing Factory, Sheabutter Processing Factory, Granite tiles Processing Factory, Solar Energy Plant among other production lines to be established in phases.

Over 100,000 jobs is expected to be created from the mega industrial park through direct employments of Kogi graduates, professionals, technicians, and thousands of Kogi State citizens to be absorbed through indirect job opportunities generated from the commercial operations within and around the industry.

Following the successful completion of all due diligence processes, CCDCC recently presented the prototype and technical designs of the Industrial park to Kogi State Government. Among other components, the Industrial layout will host:
- Industrial areas
- Manufacturing factories
- Warehouses
- Public facilities (for SMEs)
- Administrative building 
- Staff Quarters 
- Recreational facilities 
- Green Parks
- Buffer zone and
- General Infrastructure

It is hoped that the kick off of commercial activities in the Industrial park will complement the operations of Ajaokuta Steel company which is currently under federal government's renewed determination for its revival as well as attracting more investors across the globe to Kogi State.
The actualization of this project will be a phenomenal rebirth for Kogi state in its path to full industrialization.
